Fr. Ed Meeks on Conscience in the Election

1 comment:

  1. Very true, sad, scary & tragic. I did not vote for Joe Biden. For months I shared posts on FACEBOOK begging & exhorting people either to vote for President Trump or for Brian Carroll, the candidate of the pro-life, pro Catholic teaching American SOLIDARITY party. I prayed that Joe Biden would not be elected. I voted in person on Election Day for President Trump. I gave one small donation to President Trump's campaign. I did what I could. Should I have donated more or prayed harder?
I don't understand why God allowed the pandemic to occur during the term of a President who, despite his many faults & sins, was the best friend that the pro-life cause & the Catholic Church in America ever had, because many people have blamed President Trump for the many deaths due to the pandemic, & the economy that had been in great shape with only 3% unemployment suffered.
I don't know to what extent the election of Joe Biden was the result of actual votes or of election fraud. It really seemed as if President Trump would win & very possibly did win the election.
It is ironic that a man who for many years lived a very profane life & whose motives, whether pure, selfish or mixed, are known to God alone, served as the best friend of the pro-life cause & the Catholic Church & Catholic Church in America, while the man who declares himself a "devout Catholic", attends Mass & prays the rosary, along with his administration & fellow members of his party, is currently our worst domestic nightmare.
America needs a lot of prayers!
